Specialist Producers of Woodland Strawberries. For over 50 years Claude ARZAGOT and his team have worked to produce the finest quality Wild Strawberries.
Our Woodland Strawberries are raised naturally, in the open ground on a wheat straw mulch, in the fresh air. The fruit ripens under the Andalusian sun from October to late June.
From March onwards, Malaga’s early spring imparts our strawberries with a uniquely special aroma and flavour that meets the high expectations of our prestigious clients.
- Cultivation begins every year with the sowing and raising of the Strawberry Plants (guaranteed to be non GM) in order to preserve the ancestral origin of this plant. Thousands of strawberry plants are grown and raised on site and the strawberry plants are replaced at the beginning of every season in order to produce only the best quality fruit.
- Our Woodland Strawberries are raised naturally, in the open ground on wheat straw mulch, in the fresh air. The fruit ripens under the sun from October to late June.
- Our values of quality and our respect for the environment drive us to constantly look for ways to maintain a biological balance. We use only natural plant defenses such as beneficial insects to protect and guarantee the crops. This controlled cultivation lets us to produce the best fruit.
Harvesting of the fruit is carried out by hand at the optimum time of day by a team of professionals who have long mastered this deceptively simple looking skill.
Only the Strawberries that meet our criteria for quality are selected, harvested and placed directly into the punnet. The others are left.
A kilo of harvested fruit contains more than 700 berries and takes 1-3 hours to pick.
Transportation and distribution are rigorously controlled in order to preserve the quality, aroma and flavour of these exceptional fruits.
The Woodland Strawberry arrives at its destination only 24- 48 hours after being picked.
